摘要:In my talk I will briefly introduce the spin Hall effect in 3D materials and the Edelstein effect in 2D systems [1]. I will show examples of the quantification of the efficiency of spin-to-charge current conversion in both phenomena using spin pumping -ferromagnetic resonance. In particular I will show the large efficiency measured using 2D systems such a Rashba interfaces, Ag/Bi [2] and SrTiO3/LaAlO3 [3], and topological insulators such as alpha-Sn [1]. On the other hand some examples of potentials applications using the spin-orbit torque switching [4] will be discussed.

Juan Carlos教授现任法国国家科学研究院让拉莫尔研究所终身研究员,洛林微纳技术平台主任。Juan Carlos教授曾在包括法国自旋电子中心(SPINTEC,INAC/CEA-Grenoble)以及法国国家科学研究院Thales物理所(Unité Mixte de Physique CNRS/Thales)等多个知名研究机构从事自旋电子学研究,师从诺贝尔物理学奖得主Albert Fert教授。Juan Carlos教授先后以第一或通讯作者身份在Nature materialsNature communicationsPhysical Review Letters, Nano Letters等国际高水平期刊上发表多篇论文,是自旋电子学领域的知名学者。
