报告内容简介:

Integrated circuits based on CMOS (complementary metal-oxide semiconductors) are at the heart of the technological revolution of the past 40 years, as these have enabled compact and low cost micro-electronic circuits and imaging systems. However, the diversification of this platform into applications other than microcircuits and visible light cameras has been impeded by the difficulty to combine other semiconductors than silicon with CMOS.

In this talk, we show several applications graphene-CMOS integration with photodetectors and modulators. This includes the first graphene-based digital camera, based on the monolithic integration of an electronic CMOS integrated circuit with an array of graphene photodetectors. The camera operates for UV, visible and infrared light (300 2000 nm), with capabilities including night vision and a wide range of applications for automotive, consumable electronics, medical imaging etc. Moreover, we discuss the progress on integrated photonics and wafer-scale integration for compact high-speed data communications systems.
